There's Nothing Quite Like Free.

Going to watch me some hockey tonight...

I had made a vow not to spend one lousy stinkin' dime on the NHL this year (hey, if they can sit out a whole season, then I can too), but the tickets to tonight's game are free. Coco called me last night and offered up the tickets (and the tix are in the club level--woo!). He knew about my Personal NHL Strike and he said he wouldn't have bothered offering them if I had to pay. Good little Coco.

You know, I was just thinking the other night about how I'm enjoying the Capitals this year more than I did before they went on strike/were locked out/whatever (yes, I still root for the Caps--I just don't pay to root for them). Yes, this year's team is a little low on talent, but unlike the team from two years ago, this team actually tries; they don't give up when they're down and they certainly don't have a bunch of overpaid punks who just skate around in circles in front of the net waiting for the puck (*cough-Jagr-cough*).

Plus, there's another reason why I like them better this year: Alex Ovechkin. Honestly, I would consider ending my strike just to see him.
