There have been some preliminary discussions in the past week about the
possibility of us moving to North Carolina in the near future.
Charlotte, Cary, and Raleigh-Durham are the targets.
Max and Laurie sparked these discussions as
they're pretty much set on moving down there within the next 6-8 months
(Laurie: "If Max had a job down there that he could start at tomorrow
and we could sell our house tomorrow too, we'd move tonight."). If they
moved to the Cary area, that would mean we'd have a fairly sizeable
contingent (relatively speaking) there: Max, Laurie, Beth's brother and
sister-in-law, our friends Amy and Ray, and my old friends Todd and
Steve H. And since I've always said that I don't want to move because
all of my friends are in Virginia, well that kinda takes that excuse
away, doesn't it?
But don't get too excited, people. These are
just preliminary discussions. There will be plenty of time to celebrate
after I'm gone, if it really does happen.
