Previous Entry. Next Entry.
Monday February 23 2004.  NUMBING THE MIND.
So far, today has very little value to me, which is sad because never again will I have February 23, 2004. Today is dull and inconsequential. I'm not sure why I even started an entry. How about some emails, then?
HEROES. POSSESSIVE. PLURAL.
  From: Barney
  To: Vegas '04 Attendees

"I'm going to buy the tickets for the Amazing Jonathon for Thursday night in Vegas sometime this week. Show time is 10pm. Tickets are 55 plus tax and fees, so say about 60 each......Before I buy 6 tickets, just wanted to make sure everyone is a yes.
For Friday, we are going to Andre's. I'm pretty sure it's the 6 of us and JK - which makes 7. Johnny, are you in for this unique French dining experience. Hey, talking about the French, what's the shortest book in the world besides Polish Nobel Prize winners????  French War Hero's."

  From: Glenn
  To: Barney

"I wouldn't pick on the Polish or the French if I were you. I'm sure most of them know the difference between possessive and plural (hero's vs. heroes), unlike someone else."

  From: Barney
  To: Glenn

"I can normally get you're and your right."

WERE-WHAT-WHERE. NO RESPONSE.
  From: Glenn
  To: Barney

"Were in for the Amazing Jonathan."

  From: Justin
  To: Barney

"Pssst. Barney, Glenn intentionally made a mistake in his e-mail to you to see if your going to get it."

WEIRD. Showdown, Fox Sports Net, Numbing The Mind, Heroes, Possessive, Plural, Were-What-Where, No Response, and Weird.
Interesting Mail Day:  The mail truck pulled up into my driveway (kind of an odd sight) and the mailman got out and had me sign for a package.  It was, uh, my cat's ashes.  Yes, in the mail.  It's a weird life I live.
SHOWDOWN. FOX SPORTS NET.
The first showdown between Beth and I out on the golf course ended in a draw.  With temperatures hovering around 50° and a wind chill of about 20° below, we made it through only 13 holes before one of Beth's fingers snapped off.  Thank yous to Justin for cluing me in on Max Kellerman's whereabouts (he's prepping for a new show that he's going to host on Fox Sports Net [Max Kellerman will be hosting, not Justin]).
