I learned a new talent this weekend. I learned how to solder copper pipes (also known as sweating pipes).

OK, "talent" probably isn't the right word because I'm far from talented at it. And "this weekend" isn't technically correct either because it took me longer than that to get it right. It was more like a weekend plus three weeknights for two simple connections to a new laundry sink faucet.

But I'm still mildly proud of myself. Especially since I was using an ancient propane torch that really could of blown up at any time.
