Dear Diary, Today was New Year's Day. I did not have to work today. I drank a lot last night, so I did not get out of bed until 10:30 this morning. The first thing I did when I got out of bed was make coffee. Then I took 3 aspirins and sat on my couch. My girlfriend Beth was already up, so she sat on my couch with me. We watched ESPN while the coffee was brewing. Then the coffee was ready. We drank our coffee and sat on my couch and then we watched the movie Clerks. It was a very funny movie. It was even funnier because I had gas during the movie. After the movie, we had chips and dip for lunch. Beth says that chips and dip is not a very healthy lunch, but we did not care. After lunch, Beth took her dog Luke for a walk while I continued to sit on my couch. My friend Barney came over and sat on my couch with me. We talked about how stupid our friends are. We laughed a lot. It was good to see my friend Barney. Barney left to go buy some steaks and Beth came home from her walk with Luke. She said she was tired and I told her I was tired too, so we took a nap. But I could not sleep. I got up and made more coffee and went back to sitting on my couch. There were a lot of college football games on the television, but I did not watch them because I watched them last New Year's Day. Sure, different teams were playing this year, but last year I watched football all day on New Year's Day, so I did not want to do that again this year. Beth woke up from her nap and decided to cook dinner. We had spaghetti. Beth did not have enough sauce, so I ate my spaghetti with just butter. It was very good. After dinner, Beth cleaned her room and I watched the movie The Truman Show. It was a very funny movie too, even though I did not have gas. Right now, it is late so I am going to go to bed. I promise I will write in my diary again tomorrow night. Good night.
