Good Subjects, Good Light, Terrible Photographer.

I think it takes three things to make a good photographer:

1) A good knowledge of light, shadows, colors, etc.
   2) A keen eye for subject matter.
   3) Actually taking pictures, rather than just carrying the camera around.

I'm 1-for-3. I think I have a pretty good eye for what makes a good picture, but I don't know jack crap about how to manipulate light and such. Plus I don't take enough pictures. Not nearly enough. We were in Charleston for four days and we took three pictures that were non-wedding related. Nice.

Anyway, since Jessie and Brian (mainly Brian, actually) took plenty o' pics at our wedding (and then posted them online), I thought I'd return the favor and post the pictures we took at their wedding. Yeah, I know, these pictures may be dull to those who weren't there or don't even know who the hell Jessie and Brian are, but just bear with me. There will be another weblog entry next week and then all of you can get back to your deviant sex talk soon enough...

(The best picture I took in Charleston was the one of the back of Beth's head. That should tell you all you need to know about my photography skillz.)
