WRONG SIDE.
|
| I'm
definitely getting old. I ain't bouncing back the morning after softball
the way I used to bounce back. My pinkie is still sore from a ball that ricocheted
off of it three weeks ago, my thumb hurts from some unknown injury
(maybe I slept with it up my ass), and both calves are killing me this
morning (maybe it was because I legged out three triples last night--go
me). Yup, I'm obviously on the wrong side of 35.

SWEAT PHYSICS.

DULLSVILLE.
|
HUMBLE.
|
|
Question:
To soak up the sweat, I usually wear a shirt underneath my jersey when I
play ball. So how
come an hour after the game my jersey was still wet but my undershirt
was dry?
|
Today I'm
addressing and putting stamps on 500 marketing postcards. If my day gets
any more exciting, my brain might fall out of my head.
|
I'm
sure many of my friends are expecting me to post something about my
homerun last night, but I'm not going to mention it.

3 PERIODS OF BEER.

Sweat Physics, Wrong Side, 3 Periods Of Beer, Grandpa, Dullsville, and
Vomiting. |

The Tampa Bay Lightning had what I thought was a pretty cool promotion
during one of their home playoff games. They offered free beer for the
rest of that game for anyone who signed up for next year's season
tickets.
Nothing says "loyal fans" like an offer of free booze.

VOMITING.

GRANDPA.
|
This
just in from
the Humane Society of the United States (thanks to Andrea for the link):
"Cicadas are generally harmless to animals. They do not carry toxins, nor do they bite or sting. If a pet catches a few of these insects, it is usually not cause for alarm. But an overindulgent pet who eats many cicadas and has more than one or two episodes of vomiting, or appears to be in pain, may need to see a veterinarian."
More than one or two episodes of vomiting? What are we talking here, five or
six episodes? Or 15-20? And could we define a "few" cicadas? If
Luke ralphs, it serves him right. Maybe he'll stop then.

Who
the hell is this old man? And shouldn't he have graduated quite
awhile ago?
