Well, that's it for the Caps. An anti-climactic blowout in Game 7 of the
quarterfinals and they're all done.
But let me say this: I can't remember the last time I enjoyed a
season--in any sport, of any of my sports team--like I did with Caps
this season. Sure, it blows that they lost, but I wouldn't trade a Game
7 victory in the quarterfinals for the great times throughout the season
and the rest of the playoffs. Now I might trade it for a Cup...
If nothing else, they left us with a great last impression. At the end
of the 3rd period, the fans gave them a standing ovation for the final
two minutes. And the players responded by lingering on the ice while
saluting the fans with their sticks. I guess the players enjoyed the
season too.

And now I guess it's back to blogging about losing my life savings in
Vegas, wayward home repair projects, the aggravation of certain
Wednesday night ABC dramas, and Beth giving the Chinese food deliveryman
a 60% tip. |
