It Must Be Karma.

Well, right after I complained about being deathly bored with everything around here, a flurry of activity suddenly hit. Not only did Hobbs the Dog arrive, but I signed up four new clients in four days (easily a record), spent two weekends tearing apart and then painting the living room, started playing on a new coed softball team, and went to a Peruvian wedding.

Plus, there's this:

Yeah, that's my backyard and that's my neighbor's tree that sheared off during a thunderstorm on Memorial Day. When it fell, the damn thing took out four smaller trees, destroyed two parts of my fence, and buried my truck in a thicket of branches and leaves (in the last picture, my driveway is directly on the other side of that fence). Amazingly, even though parts of the tree hit the roof, siding, and a couple of windows, it didn't do any damage to the house. And even more amazing is that my truck survived with only a few scratches, a slightly dented front grill, and a loose antennae.

So I've only got two things to say here: Number one, thank god for homeowner's insurance. And number two, I don't think I'll complain about being bored anymore.
