Thursday November 11 2004. CLOSE CALL.
Well, I was right about the election. And I was pretty close with my projected numbers. Bush 286, Kerry 252. Hell, I was off only by Iowa.
And, uh, I think that's all I want to say about this subject.
NEW HIRE. RRRRRRED.

Hey, guess what I've been doing this past week.
  I've been working at CVS.
No, no, no, I'm not back there permanently. I'm just working at John F.'s store for the next week or so to help set Christmas. I readily admit that I miss that part of CVS (okay, that and the paychecks--heh), so I worked out a deal with Johnny to work a few shifts to help him out.
In an odd kind of way I enjoy doing shit like that. And even better, I like the fact that I can just go in and work on setting up Christmas and not have to deal with 80 employees and 672 different tasks. I'm just a lowly clerk at John's store. I got my blue CVS shirt and my little nametag. It's kinda nice.
Of course, once John's employees found out that I used to be a manager they began asking me what they should be working on or how to do certain things. Ah well.

Note: Senator John Kerry won Fairfax City thanks to me.

HAND-WRINGING. FIREFOX.

Okay, maybe that isn't all I have to say about the election.
Like most every other hard-core anti-Bushie, I was pretty pissed for most of the day last Wednesday. Pissed and depressed. And I admit I pretty much avoided people for a couple of days (er, avoided people more than I usually do). However, all this moaning and hand-wringing and talk of how the election was rigged is getting a little old.
It's done. It happened. The majority of voters in this country prefer to have Bush as our president. So be it. It's time to shut the hell up and start working towards 2006 and 2008.

Question: Anyone use the fairly new browser Firefox? I've been a faithful user of Netscape for years (despite Netscape's unpopularity) and I was thinking that maybe it's time to move on to something else. And no, I don't use Internet Explorer because I just don't find it very user-friendly. I used to use IE for my on-line banking because my bank's website wasn't Netscape compatible, but now that it is, I've deleted the IE icon from my desktop.
So any opinions out there about Firefox? Or even some of the other browsers such as Opera or Safari? Anyone?
STOCK UPDATE. Close Call, Firefox, Gotta Support The Team, Hand-Wringing, Fucktard, New Hire, Stock Update, and Rrrrrred.

As of this morning, I briefly--briefly--made a profit on all of my combined stock purchases.
Not too shabby considering I was down over $900 at one point in time.

FUCKTARD. GOTTA SUPPORT THE TEAM.
Although it does make a man proud to see hefty voter turnout, I don't subscribe to the theory of Voting Being a Civic Duty. Actually, I'd prefer that less people vote.
Why? Well, quite honestly, the fewer people that vote, the more my vote counts.
Yes, I am indeed a fucktard.
Did anyone else notice in the news conference following the Red Sox' World Series victory that Manny Ramirez used the words "I" and "MVP" 43 times while Curt Schilling used the word "team" 67 times?
