Updates...
* My favorite
Olympic blogger, Dan
Steinberg, now has his own full-time sports blog, er,
bog (I wonder how his editor at the Post sold that one to him. "Gee,
Dan, you did such a great job in Turin that we don't want you to be a
real journalist anymore..."). It's good reading, especially if your a
Nats-Caps-Skins-Wiz-Mystics-United fan (or a fan of any number of local
colleges, or good beer, or cheese).
* Business has picked up a bit lately, although
nothing huge. I guess it's more the fact that I'm not
hemorrhaging newsletter
copies anymore rather than actually having an increase in business.
I definitely won't make my profit numbers (I would if
these folks would clue me
in on their status), but I'll be in the black. And the year's not over
yet.
* For Those of You Who Don't Read the
Blathering in the Comments Section Part 1: Our
new neighbors are now our
old neighbors. Poof! Just like that. We came home from Vegas and they
were gone. Apparently (according to Lois, the house's owner) they had
some difficulty paying the rent. As in any of it.
* For Those of You Who Don't Read the
Blathering in the Comments Section Part 2: Yes, Barney blew our big
chance to be idiots in front of a lot of
people. Although he claims otherwise, if it wasn't for him, we would
have been able to race in The President's Race at RFK (Note to Barney:
Didn't I warn you that any shenanigans might get Stephanie in trouble?
And that we should behave? But nooooooo, you had to flash that big goofy
mischievous grin of yours when she asked if we were up to something).
* We've come to the decision that we're
definitely moving out of this house at some point in the near future.
Time to go. Will it be North
Carolina? Or will it be somewhere in the D.C. area? That's still to
be decided, but I think My Bethy needs--and deserves--a new house.
* Last year, before our wedding, I joking told
everyone that we were going to Bethesda for our honeymoon. Well,
ironically, we ended up in Bethesda for a long weekend on our one-year
anniversary. We were playing in a charity golf tournament in
Gaithersburg on the Monday after our anniversary, so we decided to spend
the weekend up in that area anyway. We had a nice dinner one night,
tripped into D.C. to see the monuments, and, of course, had our
newly-traditional
cheeseburgers and champagne. Good times. Oh, and I didn't
destroy any moving
vehicles during the golf tournament... |
