In a nice cross-pollinating move, the Washington Nationals invited some of the Washington Capitals players to RFK yesterday afternoon to take batting practice. Plus, they asked Alex Ovechkin to throw out the first pitch before last night's Phillies-Nats game, so he spent part of his afternoon practicing his throwing with some of the Nats players.

And how did that go, you ask?

Dude, wouldn't you think every professional athlete could at least throw a ball?

Apparently not.

The look on Brian Schneider's face says it all. And yes: Ovechkin had the same throwing motion when he threw out the first pitch later on.

Brutal.
